EINAUDI ‘In a Time Lapse’
A Concert Where Music Meets the Night Sky
Inside an immersive dome, beneath a vast curved screen that surrounds you completely, worlds begin to unfold. Star-filled skies, distant landscapes, and vibrant city scenes drift seamlessly across your field of vision.
At the heart of this visual journey, violinist Emma Roijackers and pianist Koenraad Spijker perform the music of Ludovico Einaudi live — including works from In a Time Lapse, widely known from The Intouchables.
The music gains a profound new dimension through breathtaking full-dome projections by internationally renowned astrophotographer Kwon O Chul. Unlike typical visual productions, these are not simulations or stock images. Every scene has been captured by Kwon himself during expeditions to some of the most remote and pristine locations on Earth.
From vast deserts to high mountain ranges and protected dark-sky reserves, his work reveals the Milky Way, meteor showers, and infinite star fields with both scientific precision and poetic beauty.
Within the dome, these images come alive in full 360°. Stars drift overhead, galaxies slowly rotate into view, and cosmic landscapes stretch endlessly around you.
Music and image merge into a single, immersive experience — each note deepening what you see, each image amplifying what you hear.
Dome Concerts brings this unique fusion of classical music and dome projection to venues across the Netherlands.
A concert unlike anything you’ve experienced before.
A moment to lean back — and look up.
